- 43 species of birds
- 05 species of amphibians
- 16 species of reptiles
- 03 species of bats
- 10 species of small mammals
- 304 plant species, including 217 endemic species from Madagascar (76%) and 37 locally endemic species.
SOCIO-ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE
- At the local level: Sources of income for the local community through ecosystem services providing fruits, raw materials for medicinal plants; Regulation of water flow and availability for the local community throughout the year.
- At the regional and national levels: A water reservoir enabling the production of raw materials and agricultural products, ensuring the sustainability of regional business investments and promoting the regional and national economy.
- Tourist attraction in the Vakinankaratra region contributing to the influx of foreign currency for Madagascar and the development of regional and national tourism operators.

Illegal mining, illegal plant collection, poor fire management, invasive species (pine).
